Ali creates compositions around the degeneration of man. The Dutch / Turkish artist explores themes like violence, perversity, and corruption of society.
Ali’s work consists of grimy figures and troubled minds in dystopian settings. He finds inspiration in the contrast between forgotten urban scenes left to their own fate behind layers of man-made structures and the opulent parts of the city flourishing and thriving in glory. He colorfully depicts the effects of this stark contrast on the human condition.
Ali typically creates his work using graphite or color pencil, ballpoint pen, and acrylic on paper and canvas.
